It is estimated that by the time an average child leaves elementary school, he or she will have witnessed 8,000 murders and over 100,000 other acts of violence. By the time that child is 18 years-of-age; he or she will witness 200,000 acts of violence, including 40,000 murders.

Think about that, by the age of 12, the average American child has witnessed 8,000 acts of murder on television alone.
Even if you were some sort of diabolical dictator whose goal was desensitize your entire nation towards murder and the killing of your fellow human beings, you could not even plan a much more effective program of brainwashing and desensitizing your nation’s children than this.
That’s what Hollywood brings us: 8,000 murders witnessed by the average 12-year-old child. That doesn’t even include the movies America’s children are watching away from the television.
So when some jackass like Jim Carrey tweets this:

and then posts a song less funny than his latest box office bomb, a song that portrays anyone who supports the Second Amendment as a bunch of dumb redneck yokels, it’s really disgusting to see just how detached from reality these Hollywood-types become, living in their mansions with armed bodyguards and surrounding themselves with like-minded limousine liberals. Not only are you completely out of touch, but you’re insulting half the people who bought tickets to your crappy movies and made you half of all those millions in your bank account. Nice career move.
First off, you’re a Canadian, so shut your Canadian pie-hole and stop making bigoted portrayals of the good people of the Red States and Red State-minded Americans everywhere.
Second off, if you think you’re smarter than America’s founding fathers, you’re even more of an idiot than the characters you portray on movie screens.
Most importantly however, if you, in your Canadian wisdom, want to go attacking America and it’s Constitution, why don’t we start at the top of the list, with the First Amendment.
You and all of your gun-grabbing Hollywood friends have blood on your hands for glorifying crime, guns and violence.
For the mental defectives who go off on killing sprees, where do you think they got that idea? Who do you think planted that seed in their feeble little brains? Do you think having witnessed 8,000 murders on TV by the age of 12 might have helped soak their spongy little brains?
How bad is Hollywood’s glorification of violence? Consider the fact that, in one of the sickest ironies of all time, the audience in Aurora watched a trailer of the movie Gangster Squad showing a scene where the gangsters gunned down an audience in a movie theater, just before they got gunned down themselves.
You want to portray gun violence as a bunch of rednecks clinging to their guns? Look at Chicago, you ignorant fool. Toughest gun laws in the nation and yet every month there’s a death toll higher than any of the yearly handful of spree shootings in America. Do you really think the gangsters do anything other than laugh at your attempts to strip law-abiding citizens of their right to bear arms?
You want to do something that could have a real effect on gun violence in America, stop trying to grab guns from law-abiding citizens and take a look at the blood you and the culture of Hollywood have on your own hands.

The premier of the History Channel’s The Bible attracted 13.1 million viewers, topping American Idol’s 12.8 million viewers on Wednesday of the same week. The ratings have confounded Hollywood’s biggest decision-makers.

The article goes on to say how bewildered the critics must be in seeing the results after giving this epic miniseries a collective review of “mediocre”. (Maybe it’s because no one cares what you smug and faithless critics think?)
For the critics who panned this great production as anything other than brilliant, I hope you are all recoiling in horror at the ratings that are coming in.

How beautiful is that? Maybe there is hope for America after all.
This is the only way you could get me to watch the four-hour long Hollywood circle jerk otherwise known as the Oscars.
I had the great fortune of not tuning into the Oscars last night, so today, I don’t have to blog about the four hours of my life I’d like to have back if somehow I’d been given the Clockwork Orange treatment and been forced to endure watching that awards show, but in reading through a pretty funny bit of “live snarking” by Nikki Finke I learned from the comments that good old Hanoi Jane was honored by Hollywood with a role as presenter of some award or another.
Does Hollywood really think America has forgotten Jane Fonda, hanging out with the NVA and posing for pictures on an anti-aircraft gun that killed Americans and condemned others to some of the most brutal POW camps in recorded history?
So it got me to thinking about Hollywood and its long and storied love affair with Communism, which got me to wondering what the world would look like if the preponderance of Commies in Hollywood had seen their hearts’ desires come true and it was actually the Communists who won the Cold War.
First off, voting would be a whole lot easier . . .
Voting would be so much easier if there were only one choice on the ballot.
No longer would the masses have to trouble their heads with the issues, the choice would be as easy as showing up to the voting booth and marking the one box available. Just as surely as Hollywood respects a guy like Woody Allen, who has the courage to say what most of the rest of them are thinking in saying that Obama should be granted dictatorial powers, having one man on the ballot and one man in control of everything would make life in America so much more efficient and simple, and what could possibly say “national unity” so loud and clear as a nation where our Dear Leader gets 100% of the vote each and every election until his death?
Speaking of unity, if the Commies had won the Cold War, imagine the joys of those Soviet-era bread lines for all the citizens of the world to take part in. Nothing says getting to know your fellow comrade like standing in line for hours to receive your fair share of the delicious loaves churned out by our state-run bakeries.
If the Commies had won the Cold War, there’d no longer be any desire to “keep up with your neighbors” when it comes to the kind of car you drive because there’d only be two types of cars, cars with the kind of quality and craftsmanship we saw in the Yugo for the proles, and of course, a luxury vehicle for every member of the Politburo, who should never have to suffer the indignity of driving the same types of vehicles as the working class.
Best thing is, it would only take about a dozen years of diligent savings for every prole to have their very own death bucket – er, I mean, fine automobile.
Of course, there would also be Obama phones! Obama phones – free to each and every member of our great society! Just imagine the glorious type of technology that would be free to all comrades, as shown in this depiction of what this year’s latest Obama phone would look like had the Commies won the Cold War.

Finally, we could ban Fox News and all the other news channels would no longer have to waste any effort in trying to have some superficial semblance of objectivity to their reporting. It would be all good news, all the time, a non-stop celebration of our socialist utopia, in this, the best of all possible worlds.
If the Commies had won the Cold War, we could ban Fox News and the rest of the news channels would no longer have to waste any effort trying to appear impartial.
Ahhh yes, it brings back fond nostalgia of the New York Times celebrating the great progress and prosperity of the Soviets under Joseph Stalin while tens of millions were purposefully allowed to starve during his great reign.

To laugh this off from your comfortable chair or imagine somehow that this is not a distinct possibility for any group of people anywhere is to admit total ignorance to the recorded history of humankind, where war and slavery have been the rule far more often than the exception.
If we can agree then that a freedom-crushing future is never a distant possibility for any society, then we must be vigilant, but what of what exactly should we be vigilant? Who is the potential wearer of that boot eternally stamping on the human face?
If you’re easily impressionable and a fan of the movies, you just might visualize some evil, multinational corporation filling those boots, after all, every fourth or fifth movie coming out of Hollywood has some greedy corporation playing the villain, but ask yourself this – did Apple, the richest corporation on the planet, ever put a gun to anyone’s head to force them to buy their iPhones? Did Starbucks ever threaten a jail cell for anyone who dared not stop in for a daily fix of their multinational corporate coffee?
Outside of the Hollywood world of make-believe, the true oppressors of people in the real world are those people’s very own governments, who, in just one abominable example, can go so far as to force each and every citizen to purchase a product or a service as we saw just recently with the Obamacare mandate. The reality in the real world is, governments seem to have, by their own inherent nature, a perpetual need to turn citizens into subjects of the state.
The filthy rich capitalist pigs in Hollywood with their bizarre and contradictory Communist sympathies may reflexively cast corporations as the bad guy in everything from courtroom dramas like Runaway Jury, to David versus Goliath stories like Promised Land, to sci fi offerings like Terminator and zombie horror flicks like Resident Evil, but far more real and diabolical than those fantasies and gross caricatures are the threats to humanity as portrayed in books like 1984, Brave New World and Atlas Shrugged.
If you have any doubt as to where the real threat is, ask yourself, was it greedy corporations or was it totalitarian governments which slaughtered over a quarter-billion people in the 20th century? There may be twenty times more movies about big, bad corporations than there are movies about the governments which perpetuate all the wars and slavery in the world, but the real threat to humanity is the farthest thing from most Hollywood scripts.
If we’re not perpetually vigilant in keeping the government in check, then there’s nothing that will stop a government from following its natural compulsion to write more laws and expand the tax code with every passing year, to perpetually feed an ever-increasing appetite for power, to constantly grow in size and scope at the expense of the freedoms of every citizen in every way imaginable.
So who are the Americans who can prevent America from sliding into an Orwellian totalitarian nightmare?
They’re people like Joshua Boston, who wrote to a member of the senatorial elite, a woman who has admitted to carrying a gun herself in the past, but who also admitted, if it were up to her, she would force Mr. and Mrs. America to turn ‘em all in. Here’s what Mr. Boston wrote:

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America. I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.

Imagine that, a citizen who sees his government about to embark in an egregious overstepping of its Constitutional bounds, and he comes out and says it in no uncertain terms – I will not comply with your attempt at logging every law-abiding gun owner in a national database. I will not comply because I know exactly what happens next after the government has a list like that. I will not comply and I will tell you that right up front.
Remember when liberals used to be cool like that? Remember when liberals used to believe in civil disobedience and questioning authority? Far from being the mindless, MSNBC-brainwashed partisan zombies that most liberals have become today, there was a time when liberals would burn their draft cards right in front of rolling cameras, never giving a partisan thought to the fact that it was a Democrat president who was plunging us into the quagmire of Vietnam.
Nowadays, for the liberals who screamed bloody murder just a few years ago at the Bush administration over prisoners of war being held without trial in Guantanomo, these very same liberals don’t even make so much as a peep over Obama acting as judge, jury and executioner in assassinating American citizens from the skies with predator drones. That whole PATRIOT Act which had the Bush hatin’ libs apoplectic with rage? For most libs, it’s suddenly not even an issue worth mentioning anymore, even as the government’s powers of surveillance are being grossly expanded under Obama.
Outside of a few principled and outspoken critics like Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich who remain true to their beliefs no matter which party holds the White House, the partisan capitulation of most liberals under Obama is so ridiculous it’s nearly impossible to remember there was a time when the liberal instinct to fight the power and stick it to the man overrode any allegiance they might have held to a political party.
Now when liberals try to tap into their rebellious predilictions, what we end up seeing is something as worthless and pathetic as the Occupy movement, blaming all that is bad in America on the greed of the “one-percenters”, totally oblivious to the fact that it’s those very same Capitalists who made America the richest nation in human history. Despite the best efforts of their cheerleaders in the media, for the average American watching at home, there was nothing that could hide the true nature of the Occupiers as an ignorant, unwashed and disorganized horde of drug addicts, vandals, rapists and murderers with no coherent message whatsoever.
These are the rioters of society, people who imagine they are making a difference by smashing windows, defecating on police cars and burning down their own neighborhoods. The only real threat they pose is to their fellow neighbors in the forms of disease, property damage, relocated businesses and lost jobs. For all their delusions of grandeur and the collective pride they took in posting arrest counts of over 7,700 in just over a year, these rioters pose no threat to the ruling elite and at most, represent nothing more than punchlines to jokes about “useful idiots”.
Those are the rioters.
Then there are the revolutionaries. These are the people who hold a heartfelt belief and understanding that the colonists most improbable bid for independence and the crafting of our Constitution represent the birthpoints of the greatest hope for freedom in all human history. In two years of Tea Party rallies, millions showed up to demand a return to the principles of The Constitution and a limited form of government, and through it all, there was not a single documented arrest made. No arrests at all, but it would be folly for our current leaders to mistake these well-behaved idealists for idle dreamers and not people capable of action when left no other choice. These are people who believe, with every fiber of their being, statements such as these:

Read again the words of Mr. Boston, a man whose family name comes most appropriately from the city where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired. Heed the words of Alex Jones, as he rightfully calls the British foreigner working to undermine our Constitution a “redcoat” and warns Piers Morgan that “1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms.”
While the ruling elite has been quite successful in draining us of our liberties in a slow, steady drip, our self-imagined overlords would be wise to avoid a real confrontation over the Second Amendment, lest they find out firsthand the stark difference between rioters and revolutionaries.

Okay, to those who are wondering why Obama won, I’m going to tell y’all the same thing you ignored when he won the last time – he’s a Hollywood-marketed representative of the liberal idea when they downplayed Romney for being a salesman.
Keep in mind, y’all, it wasn’t really about Obama being a leader, it’s about what he represented to his base and I get sick of Republicans talking about us needing real leadership. I don’t need a politician to lead me. I need representation in office to keep our freedom in check so we can remain free to lead our own persuits.
Anyway, liberals are very excited about their head representative. Democrats have their guy. The liberal culture has long cultivated this figure and has been ready to plant him into power. Can Republicans say that about the guy we ran? No!
Republicans can’t even get excited on what conservatism is, let alone run one to be excited about. Democrats were brain-flippin’ excited about their authentically liberal candidate. So much so that even after four years of failure, there was still enough of that excitement left over to get him elected for another term.
I told y’all, it’s not the nominee who will run against Obama, it’s the culture we’re up against. It doesn’t matter who you would have run. Romney ground and pounded Obama’s brain in the first debate to make a lasting impression. If Gingrich was the nominee, I would have probably offer to donate blood to Obama after Newt Gingrich got finished with him. But a victorious debate would not have secured the presidency for Gingrich either.
I told you this during the primaries, not Rick Santorum, not Rick Perry and not Ron Paul, none of these figures, including Romney, is not who it took to win against Obama and his supporters. Obama represents the liberal culture. It’s them we have to beat.
We all understand that Obama was elected because he’s black, right? But I told y’all years ago the significance of that back in the day. Many of y’all think that it was based mostly on white guilt. That’s superficial. The strategy of the Democrats was to elect Obama and filter their Socialist agenda through him, and if you challenge him on it, you will be seen as a racist and the more you challenge him, the more public opinion will raised be against you.
It was an obvious strategy the moment I heard he was running.
I told you that back in the day, and what was your answer in 2008? To run the oldest, doughyist Republican runner who’s not even really a conservative to run against this tall, elegant and charasmatic black man.
What? Y’all didn’t think Alan Keyes would have made a better president than Obama?
And I don’t think Republicans passed over Alan Keyes because they’re racist but because too many are really naive and do not really respect what conservatism is.
Jump to 2012, y’all – we end up running the guy who stepped aside for McCain to run. Now, here’s the part where those who stuck around to hear me say I told you so can really roll your eyes when I say, you should have ran Cain.
Oh, I’m sorry for bring up the past, but as the saying goes, those who don’t know history are doomed to have it sneak up behind them and beat ‘em in the butt with a nine-iron.
If race is such a driving factor with the Democrats, if we agree that the reason that Democrats wanted Barack Obama is because he’s black, which we all see is the case, don’t you think it might have been good idea to run Herman Cain to blow a hole in their strategy? Not for the sake of saying, “Hey look, here’s our black guy against your black guy,” but I remind you it’s because the Democrats would have shown their true racist colors in a very hard to deny display – colors that haven’t been more vivid since Tom Wolfe introduced Electric Kool-Aid.
When all those racist attacks would have mounted against Herman Cain, all Republicans would have had to do was point them out, substantiating the case that all the institutionalized racism that Americans have been so angry about from slavery to the KKK to Jim Crow, etc., has been Democrats
It would have opened the door for you to relate to them with conservative values. As many of y’all know, many Blacks and Hispanics tend to have more conservative values but they’re not going to side with you because they don’t want to be associated with a party who’s perceived as racist white Republicans.
You have to take that stigma off you and put it back on the real party of institutionalised racism. You’re not going to win them all over, but you better believe that it would have been enough to tip it in Cain’s favor to win us a conservative Republican president. That is the effect on the culture that was much needed.
Am I wrong? Liberals are always making race an issue, right? That’s their big gun, right? Yet when you have the opportunity to destroy their Death Star, instead of sending in Lando Calrissian, you send in C3PO. Oh, and in case you forgot Lando Calrissian is the one who destroyed the Death Star.
You let liberals steal your weapons, you let them take out Herman Cain.
Now don’t get me wrong, I defended Cain. But I draw the line on him having this relationship of thirteen years that involved him giving some woman money without his wife knowing about it.

But I ain’t trying to let the “do it if it feels good” liberals pass judgement on Herman Cain and let them push me into giving up on the only candidate, I repeat, the ONLY candidate that could have caused the culture shock to short circuit Obama’s reelection.
What’s wrong? Herman Cain wasn’t sophisticated enough for y’all? I hear a lot of Republicans talk all the time about wanting them a down-to-earth, good old fashioned common sense conservative and yet when one shows up and doesn’t sound like policy poindexter, you throw him under the bus.
Oh, Herman Cain wasn’t worthy because he hasn’t held public office? Oh, is that what you want, Republicans? Somebody who’s experienced at being a double-talking politician?
Don’t even give me some crap about, they should have some public office experience. Sarah Palin was a mayor, a high-rated Governor and a succesful businesswoman and y’all looked for every excuse to throw her under the bus.
Nothing makes you people happy, and you end up with a candidate that is a dull representative of so-called conservatism to go up against a Democrat candidate who is a glowing representative of liberalism to his base.
Y’all, this isn’t about me crying over spilled milk. I’m trying to remind y’all that politics is downstream of the culture and by running John McCain and then Mitt Romney against Obama shows that y’all either don’t get that, or you just refuse to.

Herman Cain was my guy, I was more fired up about him and his prospects than any of the Republicans in the campaign. I was ecstatic when he was leading in the polls and ready to root him all the way to the nomination and the White House. Then came the lynch mob that the media formed as they went out to destroy a good black man who just so happened to be *gasp* a conservative.
It was amazing how the lynching of Cain came from the same media who gave Obama a pass at every turn, from the fact that Obama launched his career in the living room of avowed terrorist Bill Ayers, to his sleazy Chicago land deals with slumlord and convicted felon Tony Rezko to revelations that he spent 20 years in the congregation of Reverend Wright, listing to and admiring his hateful preaching of black liberation theology. It was only after there were over a million views of Wright’s sermons on YouTube that the media finally, begrudgingly reported it and then did the best they could to quickly sweep it under the rug and move on.
The double-standard the media showed between its treatment of Obama and Cain was disgusting. It was witnessing the death of journalism right before our eyes.
Republican primary voters did show they were full ready to have Herman Cain represent the party, he was the front runner for a month, way up ahead in the primaries until the media went on all-out to destroy Cain, running more stories on Cain’s promiscuity problem in six days than the all the stories they ran on Ayers, Resko and Wright COMBINED during the entire 2008 campaign.
So Republicans got a weak stomach and figured, though they loved Cain, they didn’t feel he could ever get a fair shot at beating Obama were he nominated. Listening to Zo, now I wish we would have stuck with Herman Cain and said to hell with you, Obama State Media. We’ll nominate Cain regardless and let the rest of America decide between Cain and Obama.
