They are the weakest-minded and the hardest-hearted men that most love change.
- John Ruskin, English Critic and Social Theorist (1819-1900)
A funny thing happened to me this morning. I woke up and knowing full-well that my Raiders were playing the early game today, it struck me that I had no absolutely no desire to tune into the game or have anything else to do with the NFL. This after four decades of die-hard fandom, following my Raiders almost every single game for what would have been exactly forty years this year. I had no desire to watch any of it – none, zip, zilch, nada.
It was bad enough for sports in general to see ESPN become the equivalent of MSNBC’s sports division, but at least with the propaganda ESPN spews, you couldn’t blame the leagues themselves. Now we have to witness the same National Football League which cracks down on players for excessive celebrations turning a blind eye to players disrespecting the flag and the national anthem. To hell with those players and to hell with the league which allows it.
Athletes making millions of dollars a year crying about oppression should cry about it to their black president. If they really cared about their people, they would focus on the actual problems inside the community, such as the rate of nearly 6,000 black on black murders last year instead of putting all their energies into playing the victim card over a handful of police shootings.
After 40 years, I am done with the NFL. I have absolutely no desire to watch it any more and it looks like I’m not alone on this, either.

Well looky, looky here – with their 8-hour docuseries, “Chicagoland”, it looks like CNN has just been caught manufacturing a propaganda piece and falsely selling it to their viewers as a documentary.
More than 700 emails show that the production team, led by executive producer Marc Levin, worked with the mayor’s team to develop storylines, arrange specific scenes and review news releases for what was billed as an unscripted documentary series. In one email asking for more access to Emanuel, Levin wrote they were seeking more time with the mayor not to show his weaknesses “but instead to show the best of who he is and what he is doing.”
That’s what passes for news reporting now on CNN. You talk about a sleazy attempt to manipulate hearts and minds, this is it: the producers of “Chicagoland” secretly collaborating with Mayor Emanuel’s administration, behind the scenes, working hand in hand with them on the production. Even after the release of these damning emails, CNN is still trying to deny the collaboration.
Here’s just one sickening sample of the hero worshiping agenda driving the show:
Creator and executive producer Marc Levin made a pitch to the mayor’s office last May as Emanuel’s hand-picked school board was two days away from a vote to close nearly 50 schools. “This is a real opportunity to highlight the Mayors leadership – his ability to balance the need for reform and fiscal reality with compassion for affected communities and concern for the safety of Chicago’s school children,” Levin wrote of the school closings to Emanuel senior adviser David Spielfogel and two press aides. “We need the mayor on the phone in his SUV, in city hall with key advisers and his kitchen cabinet and meeting with CPS head BBB (Barbara Byrd-Bennett) and with CPD (Superintendent Garry) McCarthy.”

Can we now please stop using CNN as the one remaining example of a station outside of Fox that isn’t a full-fledged member of the Obama State Media?
Let’s just call it for what it is, the Non-Fox News in America has become as one-sidedly leftist as anything you’d find in the state-controlled medias of China, North Korea, Russia or Iran. You could read through 1984 all over again and still be hard pressed to find anything worse in the Ministry of Truth than the steaming piles of propaganda we’re being fed today.
And yet, this is only a small glimpse, just a tiny taste of how bad things are going to get when the media starts ramping up their campaign for Hillary in 2016. CNN and NBC may have been forced to cancel their loving tributes to, er . . . I mean, their documentaries on Hillary (and you can only imagine just how horribly blatant those puff pieces were going to be to force them to get scrapped) but you can be fully assured the pro-Clinton propaganda machine will be in full force in the coming months and what they’ll be airing will be even more insidious, because they’ll be doing everything they can to pass off their cheerleading for Hillary as legitimate news reporting.
In 2008, the media anointed a young radical from Chicago and with all the enthusiasm they could muster, they made history by helping propel one of the least qualified candidates ever into the presidency. In 2012, they managed to convince America to double-down on four years of failure. Old Media news in the form of TV, magazines and newspaper is already headed the way of the MSNBC and the dinosaurs, but we still need to do everything we can to limit their damage by hastening their demise.
The activist pigs who run the American media have made a conscious decision to abandon all the ideals they were supposed to uphold when it comes to journalism and objectivity. Now it’s our turn. Everyone of us who cares about making sure we have a free and open debate in America must do our part to expose these gross manipulators of the media. We must shame them and humiliate them for abandoning journalism and replacing it with cheerleading.

This latest “news story” out of the Associated Press doesn’t even try to mask its agenda in pushing for an extension of unemployment benefits:
A cutoff of benefits for the long-term unemployed has left more than 1.3 million Americans with a stressful decision:
Without their unemployment checks, many will abandon what had been a futile search and will no longer look for a job — an exodus that could dwarf the 347,000 Americans who stopped seeking work in December. Beneficiaries have been required to look for work to receive unemployment checks.
The article tells us that beneficiaries are “required to look for work to receive unemployment checks” hoping we won’t roll our eyes when we read that it’s “required”. The truth of the matter is, that requirement has all the thoroughness of the government taking people’s word for it when they say they’ve been looking for work.
Next, we’re told that not extending the benefits will actually decrease the amount of people looking for work:
Without their unemployment checks, many will abandon what had been a futile search and will no longer look for a job.
Of course, the article fails to mention that the reality for many is that:
Without their unemployment checks, many will abandon their couches and televisions and begin looking for a job.
In true propagandist fashion, the article then tries to humanize the story by sketching vignettes of the plights of some everyday Americans, “people like Stan Osnowitz, a 67-year-old electrician in Baltimore . . .”
We’re then given one economist’s opinion that extending unemployment benefits is good for the economy:
Jesse Rothstein, an economist at the University of California, Berkeley, who has studied the long-term unemployed, has found that extended benefits help both the recipients and the economy – by fueling consumer spending.
(Gee, if it’s so good for the economy, why don’t we just extend unemployment benefits forever?)
Predictably, no mention is made of the many studies which have shown that extending unemployment benefits provides a disincentive for people to return to work.
For all the efforts of the nameless hacks at AP in trying to drum up support for extending unemployment benefits, there’s one glaring question the article fails to answer:
How could we possibly need to extend the longest extension of unemployment benefits in our nation’s history when the Obama-loving media keeps telling us we’re in the middle of a recovery?

Can you imagine the meeting where Joe Nocera either proposed it or was given the task of blogging a list of the worst gun violence he could dredge up across America on a daily basis? However it went down, they have a new feature at the NY Times website which selectively lists all the horrible uses of guns on a daily basis . . . to which I had to respond:
All the criminals and robbers and rapists and ganstas in America applaud your efforts to disarm America’s law-abiding citizens. – Mike Cornelison, The OC
and a thoughtful reply came back:
Oh come on. No one is trying to disarm America’s law abiding citizens. You’ve been drinking tea from Wayne LaPierre’s teat if you believe that.
What people are trying to do is to find a way to make our society a safer place. One big thing would be to take unlicensed, unregistered guns from people who should not have them. Doing this would place a small responsibility on responsible gun owners to register their guns on a regular basis, like they do motor vehicles. This is not a violation of your rights, so don’t whine about violating the Second Amendment.
Take personal responsibility for yourself. If you want to own guns, show that you are capable of being a good citizen. Distinguish yourself from the criminals and robbers and rapists and gangstas and rednecks and hoarders and extremists and contribute to the society that provides you with the right to own a gun. – Them or Us, New York
to which I replied:
Uh yeah, you want every law-abiding gun owner in America in a national database, right? Don’t think it can’t happen here. I’m sure the Germans thought they were just voting for CHANGE in the 1930s. You’re comfortable with Obama’s Justice Department saying King, er – President Obama can act as judge, jury and executioner in using drone strikes on American citizens? I bet you howled in protest against the PATRIOT Act under Bush, only to be silent in reply to the expansion of the government’s powers to examine every email sent and received in America. Don’t think it can’t happen here, that we should all be good little lambs and put all our faith in the government to protect us when we’re just a couple more slips down a slippery slope until someone determines that all those doors of the gun owners in the national database need a visit.
The Clinton Justice Department identified 1.5 million cases per year of guns used for self defense. Let that sink in for a bit and then consider this – the Second Amendment came just after the first not for self-defense against criminals and robbers and rapists, but to ensure that the government would fear the people and not the other way around. – Mike Cornelison, The OC
The New York Times calls its new propaganda campaign, “The Day in Gun Violence in America”.
Notice the fact that not a single incident from Chicago is mentioned. Chicago, where the strictest gun control laws in America have been imposed on its law-abiding citizens and where more people are dying in Chicago’s streets than our soldiers in Afghanistan.

As exposed on Brietbart, the death of journalism at CBS became official on Friday when the political director of CBS News, John Dickerson, posted the following militant political diatribe on Slate. (Mind you, this is not an article written by some one who gets paid to express their political views, this is from a man at the highest level of CBS News, their very own political director . . . )
DECLARE WAR! GO FOR THE THROAT! Right from the headline, we see we’re going to be treated to some serious bomb throwing here, which is pretty ironic when you consider the fact that it comes from one of the highest-ranked members of the very same media establishment which made such hysterical pleas on a daily basis over the need to tone down the rhetoric in the wake of the Giffords shooting in Arizona just barely over two years ago.
But the headline on this tirade is just a prelude to the red meat John Dickerson tosses to his liberal readers at Slate as this devout Obama worshiper implores his beloved president to take down that pesky opposing party by any means necessary and deliver our nation to the Utopian one-party rule most lefties dream of in their little tyrannical heart of hearts:
The president who came into office speaking in lofty terms about bipartisanship and cooperation can only cement his legacy if he destroys the GOP. If he wants to transform American politics, he must go for the throat.
How many times on how many issues could the president who sold himself as a moderate have found some common ground with Republicans in his first four years? Instead, on those rare occasions where he was not on vacation and away from the golf course, the president spent nearly all his efforts ramming through a nearly trillion-dollar stimulus package too large for anybody to read and a mandatory health care system the vast majority of Americans didn’t want in the first place. Never mind the fact that Obama sold us a false bill of goods and never even made any honest attempts at bipartisanship, what we ended up with was a president who told voters we must “punish their enemies” when it came to Republicans.
Obama’s only remaining option is to pulverize. Whether he succeeds in passing legislation or not, given his ambitions, his goal should be to delegitimize his opponents.
There is a lot of shrewd political analysis from Dickerson in the ways Obama can declare war, go for the throat, pulverize and destroy the GOP, but this just isn’t a case of offering objective advice to the president. You can read between every line Dickerson writes that his heartfelt dream is for Obama to his impose his far-left agenda on America by steamrolling any and all opposition.
So how did Dickerson respond to the firestorm over him, as the political director of CBS News, writing such a blatantly Obama-loving, GOP-bashing op-ed piece? He answered the uproar with a self-serving sob piece entitled “They hate me, they really hate me“, which is, of course, a play on Sally Field’s Oscar acceptance speech (though it’s really a play on the oft-repeated misquote of her line.)
The photo from his article which attempts to recast his love letter imploring Obama to become our American dictator tells us a lot:
He’s been caught as the partisan hack he is. Look at those red-ringed eyes. Looks like he’s been up all night, wringing his fists in his eyes like the child crying over having had his hand caught in the cookie jar.
In full damage control, yesterday’s CBS Morning News brought Dickerson out to defend himself. Here’s the damning part from the standpoint of CBS News and their credibility. As this partisan hack gets his thirty seconds to try recasting his article as being merely objective analysis, the graphic beneath lists Davidson as “Slate’s chief political correspondent and author of On Her Trail.” He’s on CBS and the directors choose to avoid any mention the fact that he’s one of their very own? They choose to call him a writer for slate and fail to mention the fact that he’s their very own political director? What an embarrassment.
If you took away Fox News, the American News media would be as state-controlled as the media from the days of the old Soviet Union. We are living in the era of American Pravda, although that’s a little unfair to the current Pravda, which manages some tough questions and objectivity despite Putin’s best efforts. No my friends, the propaganda we’re being spoonfed by the Obama State Media is truly as bad as the old Soviet Pravda and even worse than the current.
