Letters from the Lunar Outpost

Prayers for Mitt Romney at the Town Hall DebateThe last time I requested that we pray together at this blog, it was after we learned of Barack Obama’s disturbing admission that he had eaten dog, and so we prayed for Bo, that he may survive the culinary preferences of our dog-eating president.

If you’re so inclined as to pray with me, this time I ask that we may say a prayer on a very important day for our nation’s future.

Tonight Mitt Romney will be debating Barack Obama in a town hall meeting at Hofstra University. The stakes couldn’t be any higher and the odds and Candy Crowley herself couldn’t be weighing any more heavily against him.

Please pray with me . . .

Our Father in Heaven, thank you for all the blessings You give us. Thank You for the health and prosperity of our friends and family members, our neighbors and countrymen. For those of us who were born here and for those of us who made our way to immigrate here, thank you for the wonderful honor you’ve given us to allow us to live our lives as Americans. Heavenly Father, please give Mitt Romney the clarity and conviction to convince America that he is the man best suited for the job of president of the United States. Please allow Your Holy Spirit to work through Mitt Romney tonight as he makes his case to the nation. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Liberals may scoff at the thought of resorting to prayer for Mitt Romney tonight but I saw the Holy Spirit working through Mitt Romney in the first debate. I felt the Holy Spirit working through Mitt Romney as sure as I’ve ever felt anything in my life, so it is with complete sincerity and total conviction that I pray that once again, Mitt Romney will open himself completely and allow the power of the Holy Spirit to work through him tonight in the presidential debate.

  • A better prayer would be for the good of America, regardless of who the leader is.

  • God Bless Mitt Romney throughout his performance throughout the debate tonight.

    In Jesus Christ we pray,
    Amen

  • Heavenly Father, be with Mitt Romney tonite and give him the words he needs to reach the American people.

  • I know that I and many friends were praying for Romney during the last debate, and I’m sure he had prayers from all over the country. We need to pray again. He is going to be in a town hall situation where the media has no doubt stacked the deck against him. Pray for God to give Mitt the words to say and pray for this country. 🙂 Love you all.

  • Dear God you have blessed America for over 200 years. We ask that tonight you help Gov Romney as he seeks to become our 45th President and restore a love and respect for you in our country once again. We are being lead poorly by a man I believe to be angry and Godless.

  • Great Prayer! Baruch Attah Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, Put your two edged sword in Romney’s mouth and give Him a great portion of Your Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh, The whole Earth is full of Your Glory! Yeshem Yeshua AMEN

  • America has only one possible hope for its very existence …not just as a nation but We the People individually and collectively …that being prayer.

    God says 2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Unfortunately, more recently, American ‘christians’ appear to trust career politicians over God …but not without a price.

  • Very nice prayer Mike, I liked it “serverely” to use a Mittism! I believe we will also have some Angels on our side tonight, and in the hall with Mitt. BTW, was your double entendre intentional or inadvertent, re: the weighty issues we face, including Candy ?

    • Oh my, how did that “Candy Crowley herself couldn’t be weighing any more heavily against him” comment slip in? Must have been a Freudian slip. 😉 Turned out to be a perfect premonition though with the way she tried to bail Obama out on Lybia.
