Letters from the Lunar Outpost

If you have written a clever and conclusive, but scathing letter, keep it back till the next day, and it will very often never go at all.

Nope, that kind of hateful pig vomit didn’t get Merisa Maljevac suspended.

*** UPDATE: Like a true coward, Maljevac deleted her tweet after I outed her on this post, but you can’t simply “unsay” something that disgusting, especially when fellow anti-Semites are there to retweet you in agreement.

Here are some other fine examples of hate tweets that didn’t get their tweeters suspended:

What will get you suspended on Twitter

Speaking the truth about the Obama administration’s betrayal of Israel:

Israel Stabbed in the Back by Obama

Without warning, Twitter suspended a series of three accounts owned by an Orthodox Jew from New York City Wednesday and Thursday, after one of them tweeted a cartoon depicting the Obama administration stabbing Israel in the back. The social media company refused to tell The Daily Caller if the cartoon was the reason it shut the accounts down.

Twitter also wouldn’t say why it hasn’t taken similar action against the terror group Hamas and its supporters for tweeting “Death to the Jews” and other threats of violence.

Just like the Obama Nazis at Facebook who censored a post by Special Operations Speaks (Obama called the SEALs, and THEY got bin Laden. When the SEALs called Obama, THEY GOT DENIED.) we see yet another example of left-wing, censorship-loving tyranny at another social media forum.

It seems you can wish hatred and death on almost anyone on Twitter, just as long as you never speak ill of our Dear Leader Obama.

  • You can thanks George W Bush, Cheney and all the yellow bellied knee jerk politicians on both sides for blindly sealing this country’s fate as a police state. National security has trumped freedom. A perpetual state of war is the new norm. Obama has endorsed and expanded this but he didn’t start it. Assassinating people without due process. Privacy is no longer a right and any party that is elected will just continue this decline in freedom. Give em an inch and they take all our rights away.

    • I’m enjoying your replies more and more, Galen. Bush and the PATRIOT act did a lot to trade freedom for safety, though much of the PATRIOT act seemed sensible at the time, surveillance still required probable cause and a judge’s okay on it.

You may have been more wise to the transgressions that were possible via the PATRIOT act than I was (and probably still am) so I’m not speaking of you here, but isn’t it amazing how loud the howls of protest from the left were when Bush & Congress passed the PATRIOT act, only too see virtual silence as soon as Obama took office and not only kept all of it in operation, but expanded on it – to the point of not just assassinating bin Laden without any attempt at bringing him into custody to face the judgment of a court, but even going as far as to assassinate a US citizen on foreign soil.

Now somehow it all seems fine and dandy with the left, but imagine the howls of WAR CRIMES had those assassinations occurred on Bush’s watch.

  • That’s what being an extreme partisan does to critical thinking. Blinds you. I would have to say the far left (the ones that mingle with libertarians quite well) have never stopped worrying about this. They are rarely given any mind; with the possible exception of the OWS movement. A movement that was mainstreamed by Obama for damage control then demonized as terrorist and sex offenders by the status quo media. I believe Fox and MSNBC are the same animal. The Tea Party Movement was mainstreamed by Republicans then demonized by this same media.

I have written my representative’s including Obama about my concerns. The far left needs to keep pressure on this President. I say far left only because they were hamstrung into voted for him (and actually did while the more traditional right libertarians didn’t). They did this because they hated the corporate interests (Big Oil, Coal, etc) and anti-privacy/cultural issues (Abortion, contraceptives are privacy issue) the Republicans were portrayed as representing MORE than Obama’s corporate interests (Green Energy, Finance Industries, etc) and his own anti-privacy/cultural issues. IMHO Obama’s biggest lies during his first election was telling medical marijuana States they would not be persecuted AND being concerned about the expansion of executive powers.

It’s a confused world we live in yet I believe truth, justice and freedom will prevail. (I am a helpless optimist.)

    • Your sugar coating of the facts in regards to, and of, the Democrat/Progressive/
Liberal News Media Outlets proves you to blind.

Nice attempt, though, to change the focus of systematic maltreatment and arbitrary decisions rendered upon Jews accurately portraying Obama as an Enemy of the State of Israel.

      • I can’t see anything sweet about a power structure that keeps us divided. The Democrat and Republican are two sides of the same coin. The media plays them against each other to our detriment. Both parties represent the same or in some cases competing interest groups bent on using government for their own aims. Which as far as I can see is to hoard as much money and resources before the proverbial crap hits the fan. Get it while it lasts. The middle class is going the way of Twinkies, soon to be auctioned off to the highest bidder on eBay.

Why is it that the Jews are either in control of everything or the ones being persecuted? This ancient tribe has been used as scapegoat or rally call depending on the immediate goal at hand. The Jewish peoples of the world are NOT homogenous in their politics. There are many anti-Zionist Jews in the world. These folks believe God punished them by taking their nation and only God will return them to that nation… not the UN.

Can one see this conflict as both sides being irrational without being labeled antisemitic? Both sides kill each other and killing does not bring peace. It may bring quiet after all are dead though.

This whole situation has at it’s root three religions based on Abraham with myths that say their side will come out on top when God comes and cleanses the wicked from the earth. Keep it up and it won’t be God cleansing us AND it won’t just be the wicked getting killed.

Organized religion may one day rule the world or destroy it. God has a right to create multiple myths. One particular myth does not have the sole right to God.

As to twitter and Facebook, these companies are private corporations with the right to say or censor whatever they want. Citizens United codified that. It’s precedent is not just binding to conservative views.

    • What I don’t understand is if “Abortion, contraceptives are privacy issue[s]” why do Liberals want the public to pay for them. Keep them private; pay for them with your own private funds. It’s the Liberals that are bringing it into the ‘public’ domain with their demands that the public pay for them.

      • Getting a vasectomy is a private issue also yet still covered by insurance policies.

        • Tubal libations are normally covered by insurance as well. What is your point?

          • Oops! Ligation not Libation, I don’t even want to have that image in my head!

          • My point is most people in this country see abortion as a medical procedure that should be legal and covered by insurance. Contraceptives are an even better and non invasive alternative. Some folks just don’t want kids or for good reason feel having a child at that point in their lives will place a major burden on them. We have thousands of kids that need adopted but will languish in foster homes or worse. Most will be dependent on Government in some way or the other most their lives. Lets teach them self sufficiency and pride in one’s work.

Our Constitutional Republic protects individual privacy. I do wish the issue was decided through the States and not by a Supreme Court Decision but that boat has sailed.

        • Your right and as GoshSteve mentioned so is tubal ligation. And you furthered my point of private/public. These procedures are private and payed for privately through one’s own insurance for which they pay. So thanks for helping explain the important difference betwen paying for one’s own private issues and the public having to pay.

  • “Most will be dependent on Government in some way or the other most their lives. Lets teach them self sufficiency and pride in one’s work.”
That is exactly the point Gavin. You do not teach “self sufficiency and pride…” by aiding and abetting one’s dependecy on government (or any substance) and by teaching them that others should and or will pay their way.

  • I agree but there is fine line between teaching this and teaching people not to care about others. People need food, clothing and shelter to survive. If they don’t have these things they will lie, cheat and steal to get them. It’s a survival instinct. Not everyone will “make it” in a capitalist system (or any system for that matter). I believe the free market system is the best we have invented but I am under no illusion it will bring everyone wealth and prosperity. There will always be folks in need a hand up.

    • And that is why we have social programs, to help those ‘in need’. The problem comes from allowing those ‘in want’ to manipulate the system for their own lazy selves.
And what’s important to remember is that when the ‘wants’ take from the system they are stealing money from the hard working people that fund the system and even worse, or equally as bad, they are stealing money/resources from the people that ‘need’ it.
There is no argument from mean old racist Republicans about people needing help. There is only an argument about a difference of want and need.

It’s the MSM and Democrats that need people to think otherwise for their own survival.

  • I have just had my account suspended 3 days prior to an election.

My posts were to some degree repetitious but they were a political message which would reach different demographics at different times of the day across the under hashtags.

If you check the spam act political communication is exempt of the spam act.

There were no monies derived from the tweets. About 10-20 per day. There was no personal attacks and many tweets that were @ were television programs.

It also appears Twitter is removing posts with hyperlinks to particular websites which may impact powerful lobby groups in the US. So much for free speech.

Meanwhile the porn spam bots continue under the same has tag along with the some vial language poster with he most vitriol of language.

Id say I was reported by someone with enough sway to have me canned 2 days prior the election.

I cant see Twitter surviving under this reporting model. Business will need several accounts to prevent suspension.

Now that Twitter are implementing advertising it will only take one of the other big dotcoms to release and improved version before complete collapse.

If I were business I wouldn’t invest the time with such volatility in the reporting procedure.

It appears someone with power has had me suspended at a whim.

I cant see Twitter sustaining long term business.

    Its a lot to lose.

    • They just can’t help themselves, little left-wing censorship nazis that they are over at Twitter. I get suspended at least once or twice a month.

Not a good practice for the business or the brand, though. I’m already making the move over to Google Plus.
