Letters from the Lunar Outpost

A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

  • Is this a glimpse of what to expect in the next four years?

  • I respectfully disagree. Romney is not a solution. The country would be much worse off if McCain had been elected. The problems Obama inherited were in fact created by the very same corporatist de-regulators who now seek to regain control of the American Taxpayers’ money. Though I am disenchanted and disenfranchised, it is with the entire system and everyone on both “sides” of the discussion is to blame. Romney is a corporatist which = fascism. He has no understanding of the working class. His wife may be admirable but their family fails to relate to the vast majority of Americans who have no choice but for both parents to work outside the house. The traditional American family lifestyle of the 50’s and 60’s is only enjoyed by the 1% who have the luxury of choosing things like whether to stay at home and raise the kids or work outside the home. At this point in our country’s history, corporations run everything and it won’t matter a whit who’s president, they’re all incapable of thinking independently, and everyone is in it for their own gain. This leaves big companies with far too much influence and the rest of us just get screwed. It is narrow-minded and short-sighted to think that getting rid of Obama will make any difference at all for the vast majority of Americans.

    • I gave you a +1 for seeing things from both sides of the coin. I still can’t help but think that the Frank Marshall Davis protege that we currently have is infinity worse than any man who’s ever been in the private sector, signing paychecks and accountable to a bottom line.
